Classic Neo Geo games, such as The King of Fighters '94 and Metal Slug, are coming to PS4 this year, Hamster Corporation director Taeko Muto announced. The developer is responsible for bringing several classic arcade games to Sony's console, including Rygar and Contra.
The Arcade Archive Neo Geo series will kick off with The King of Fighters '94 on October 27. Later this year, we'll see Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown, Alpha Mission II, Fatal Fury, and World Heroes hit the PS4. Neo Turf Masters and NAM-1975 will join the series in early 2017.
Muto noted on the PlayStation Blog that the release dates are subject to change. He also added that Hamster will work with SNK Playmore to bring more Neo Geo games to the PS4. We'll keep you updated as more is revealed.
If you want to __play Metal Slug right now, the PS4 offers Metal Slug Anthology for $20. It includes Metal Slug 1-6 and X. You can see it on the PlayStation Store here.
Destiny's Halloween event, Festival of the Lost, is currently underway, letting players celebrate the holiday with new quests, items, and more. A group of players known as Husky Raid have taken a different approach to celebrating, albeit one that uses Festival of the Lost masks and items.
As featured in the video below, entitled Saw Something Weird on the Moon, a player approaches the entrance to the Crota's End raid on the Moon. After entering, they're treated to a elaborately choreographed dance number featuring various Michael Jackson songs, including "Thriller."
This is accompanied by various Festival of the Lost items, explosions, and player abilities to create an impressive display. This ends with all of them dying, which somehow feels appropriate for shenanigans happening in a raid.
Those who took part in the routine are Boisterousbiddy, MegaMagwitch, G1vmee uh han, Acetonicetryle, Ballistikitty, CelestialPoodle, Voidjedi appel, and SuperStartop. You can see more of Husky Raid's creations on their YouTube channel--you might recall their Backstreet Boys video from last October.
Festival of the Lost began yesterday and runs until early November. Alongside the more obvious features you'll encounter when logging in, there are also some noteworthy secrets to find.
Capcom has released a creepy new gameplay video for horror game Resident Evil 7. Titled "Immortal," the video shows the player killing the character Jack Baker...only he doesn't die.
Jack collapses to the floor after the player shoots him in the chest multiple times, but that's not enough to bring him down for good, apparently. "Oh, no, no, no. Now you're going to get it, boy," he says as he gets to his feet, just before the video cuts out. "Something's not quite right with Jack," the video's description reads. Check it out:
This is episode six of Capcom's ongoing Resident Evil 7 gameplay teaser series. The first two in the Volume series came out earlier this month; one teased that a character from past games may return, while the other showed off a shotgun. Last week, two more came out, highlighting knife abilities and save points. The sixth video, which taught players how to heal themselves with herbs, arrived this week.
Resident Evil 7 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. A deluxe version of the game will be available for $89.99 and includes the game and a season pass with three extra story chapters.
GameSpot recently got the opportunity to __play the upcoming survival-horror game and found that it continues to break tradition.
You can try out Resident Evil 7 right now through its new "Twilight" demo. It allows players to explore "more of the mysterious, derelict mansion" featured in it.
A new Resident Evil movie, The Final Chapter, also comes out in January 2017. At New York Comic-Con this month, Sony released a full-length trailer for the movie that teased an epic conclusion.
Impossible at it may seem, The Last Guardian went gold recently and appears to be set to launch for PS4 on December 6. With that in mind, art seller Cook & Becker is offering two new art prints based on Team Ico and Fumito Ueda's previous games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
The Ico print features Ueda's box art painting for the game and measures in at 34"x40". The Shadow of the Colossus one--referred to as Nico, which was an early name used for the game--also features one of Ueda's paintings and measures 28"x40".
Both of these are described as officially licensed, museum-grade giclee prints. Only 500 copies of each print are available, and they're all hand-numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. As you can probably guess, they aren't cheap--they start at $95 and go way up from there if you choose to have it framed behind glass.
You can order the prints now from Cook & Becker's website.
Become the evil laboratory assistant that youve always dreamt of being in this free-to-play, repeatable Halloween event.

Find out all the details in this news post along with any other announcements and stream info.
Halloween Event 2016
Requirements
None. This event is entirely free to play.
Recommended
There are no special stat requirements or gear, but there might becomplications...so bringing a little food might be a good idea.
How to start
Head to a new portal outside the Invention Guild, north-east of Falador, and zip through to Dark Falador.
Build a Monster
Meet up with your old pal Dr Fenkenbrain on the other side of the Halloween portal and talk to him to begin.
Lend the doc a hand (and probably a few more body parts to boot) as you work to create a replacement for his failed zombies.
There are four activities to take part in every day body-part sorting, driving a conveyor belt with a bicycle, divine entanglement and generator charging.
The doc assures us that any deaths that may incur will be safe ones so have fun!
Rewards
Helping to build the monster will earn you grey matter which you can use to buy Halloween-themed rewards from Dr Fenkenbrain.
These include a lightning rod hat, a creeptastic pet and the Mad Professor title.
Upon your first completion of this years event, you will also be rewarded with last years Halloween emotes and music, if you missed those.
You can repeat this years event as much as you like to earn more grey matter, but you will earn the most on your first completion each day. Note that the concluding stage of the event also only occurs on your first completion of the day.
Mechanical Spider Pet Hunt
When youre done, explore the area outside of Fenkenbrains lab to locate eight pieces of a mechanical spider pet. Assemble them and youll be able to purchase the pet in the events reward shop.
This event will run for two weeks until update on November 7th.

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host this week! Well, did a great deal happen this week! Not only has Nintendo pegged their future on the console/handheld blurring Nintendo Switch, but some big releases and news hit the site. Battlefield 1 and Sid Meier's Civilization VI were the big releases that had the community clamoring on the forums. Not only that, but the announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 had the Giant Bomb userbase practically buzzing about what they wanted to see in the game. Oh and the staff also suffered another Mario Party-induced Sisyphean torment. With that, let's review the site related housekeeping:

Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition has published a list of some of the "top-level items" that it is working on fixes for. In a forum post, community manager Adam Fletcher thanked fans for their feedback and said the studio hopes to fix these problems and others through upcoming patches.
One such item is balancing for the Hammerburst weapon. This has been a "big pain point" for players, Fletcher said. He didn't say exactly how the Hammerburst will change, but noted that online __play has been "dominated by long-range combat" with the weapon and that a tuning update will address this.
Another issue that The Coalition is hoping to fix is a problem where matches start without a full roster of players. This issue is "pretty concerning," Fletcher said. "There may be a quick fix that we can do on the backend to address this but it may require some additional work that would come in a later title update," he said. "We will do what we can to mitigate and correct this one as soon as possible."
The Coalition has also heard players' calls for harsher penalties for people who quit mid-match. A future update will include stricter penalties, though they were not detailed, and it sounds like this might not happen very soon. "Unfortunately, this requires a bit more legwork but we are seeing if we can prioritize and have this come out sooner rather than later. We expect this in a future title update but not the next large one," Fletcher explained.
Additionally, a future update for Gears of War 4 will add competitive/core lobbies, but since it requires an "extensive amount of work," you shouldn't expect it soon. Fletcher also acknowledged the concerns some have raised about Gears of War 4's Gears Pack system, which involves microtransactions.
"We are looking into ways of improving the experience for all users and we are also looking at additional opportunities to help players obtain packs," he said. "We will keep you posted on these notes in the near future."
Additionally, The Coalition confirmed that it will experiment with "social crossplay weekends," during which it will gather data to determine what else it can do with cross-play between Xbox One and PC. "We will also be looking into offering bonus XP in specific modes that will be constantly rotating either each day or on a weekly basis to help incentivize people to try out each of our different game modes. This would be for both platforms Xbox One and PC," Fletcher said.
Another item being addressed in a future update has to do with backfilling in Horde matchmaking. Right now, if someone drops out, you can invite someone else, but only if they're on your friends list. The Coalition said it will "continue looking into this" to see what else it can do. For now, the developer wants to remind players that they can invite people if someone drops out; this is a big deal because Horde matches can go on for a long time and if someone leaves, you might be in trouble.
You can see more of the "top-level" items and descriptions written by Fletcher below. He also noted that there are "many more" topics that The Coalition is aware of that it could address in the future.
The Coalition did not provide any kind of a timetable for when these issues will be addressed.
Gears of War 4 Changes and Fixes:
Footsteps of teammates much louder than opponents
We believe DeeBee footstep audio seems to be in a good place based off of feedback from you all. We are looking at increasing human and swarm footstep audio. This will be in a future title update.
Gnasher shots firing but ammo not depleting and registering
We have a fix for this in our next large Title Update
0% / 100% UI notifications
This is tied to Unreal rounding numbers up and down and thus confusing people with the numbers they are displaying. We are going to see if we can address this so it comes across a bit more clear on what your true damage and damage taken is. This will occur in a future update.
KOTH/Execution Time Adjustments
Execution I believe is currently set for 10 minutes. That’s long! We are going to readjust this so players aren’t stalemating for long periods of time. KOTH will be reduced to 1 round in social and we will listen to additional dialogue from Core players if this needs to be reduced down or not. We expect these changes in the next Title Update if not sooner.
Windows Insiders not being able to play
There is now a new Insider Build that corrects this issue. (Build 14951). You can read more about it here.
Ranks not displaying for other users in Squad
We are aware of this. We want to display ranks for other users in the squad. This will be in a future Title Update, but will not be present in the next one.
Horde Class Icons in Scoreboard
We are also aware of this one. We want people to be aware of other classes they are working with in-game. This will be in a future Title Update, but will not be present in the next one.
PC Mics not working correctly at all times
We are looking into this one and have a future Title Update that will address this issue.
Horde Score abuse issues
We have received a few reports on this and have fixes coming related to this. We will probably also look into wiping leaderboards after this is done to ensure players can compete to achieve legitimate scores.
Grenade spawning issue
We have this issue logged and will have a fix for this in a future Title Update.
Players sometimes leaving maps
We have this issue logged and will have a fix for this in a future Title Update. Players caught abusing this will be subject to disciplinary action including suspensions and bans.
