DeNa Thinks Nintendo Deal Will Reach 100 Million Daily Users

With games featuring Nintendo's IP, Japanese mobile company DeNa believes it could reach 100 million daily users.

"We wanted to get a huge audience like Candy Crush," DeNa West CEO Shintaro Asako  VentureBeat's GamesBeat. "We wanted to create something with that kind of" daily active user base.

Earlier today,  specifically for the mobile market using Nintendo's intellectual property.

Asako believes that with Nintendo's IPs and the  "strong game operation expertise" DeNa has, he thinks that 100 million daily active user base is well within the realm of possibility. "I don’t think we’re dreaming [about reaching] 100 million DAU," he said.

The possibility of Nintendo games on mobile has excited the imaginations of gamers for some time, with many people seeing the move as a license to print money on Nintendo's part. For what it's worth, stockholders seem to share the view that Nintendo intellectual properties on mobile devices will be successful, as following the news.
