A new rumour places Marvel's very own Howard Stark, Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter), as a frontrunner to star in AMC's Preacher TV series, based on the cult 1990's Garth Ennis-Steve Dillion comic.
According to (via ), Cooper is the "top pick" to star as Reverend Jesse Custer, who -- in the comics -- becomes merged with a supernatural entity that give him powers of persuasion, and embarks on a journey to find God (who has since abandoned heaven), with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy.
AMC's Preacher adaptation -- which has already been given a series order -- is to be directed by This Is The End's Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg, with a script by Breaking Bad's Sam Catlin, who will also serve as showrunner.As always, keep it locked to IGN for further updates on the Preacher series!
