Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 to Start Filming in NY in April

Everybody, praise the pizza gods -- is set to start filming next month in New York City and Buffalo.

According to , $63 million will be spent on shooting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel in NYC, along with an additional $7 million of spending in Buffalo.

"New York City knows how to host blockbuster films," said NYC's Mayor Bill de Blasio. “We welcome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 to New York City, and look forward to the many jobs and tens of millions of jobs this will bring to our local economy.”

No plot details have been revealed about the TMNT sequel, but fan-favorite villains Bebop and Rocksteady have been to appear in the film. (But can we expect the return of the their rad 1980's punk style?)

With Michael Bay back on board as producer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will feature the return of Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick and Tohoru Masamune as Shredder. Earth to Echo helmer David Green is in early talks to direct.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is due to hit theatres on June 3, 2016.
