On the eve of the short film “Frozen Fever” opening with Cinderella, Disney has announced that Frozen 2 is a go.
This of course comes as no surprise, considering the huge success that the animated film has been for the company. The plan was revealed during the Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting today in San Francisco, where .
Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and producer Peter Del Vechoare, all from the 2013 original, are developing the project, which will presumably continue the billion-dollar-plus adventures of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
