Project CARS Goes Gold, Reveals 110 Different Courses

Project CARS has gone gold, meaning the game is finished and ready to be sent to manufacturers so discs can be produced.

This means further delays are pretty much impossible, and confirms yesterday's announcement about a May 7 release in Australia and Europe, with a  in the UK.

"We know the wait for the game to be released was worth it, as we’re confident the quality and realism level we have achieved will provide our fans with the game they are all expecting," head of developer Slightly Mad Studios Ian Bell said. "Finally, we are also delighted to reveal the final track list. With more than 30 locations, Project CARS offers the largest track roster of any recent racing game."

Project CARS will launch with 110 different courses spread across 30 locations, the full list of which can be found at the . Project CARS has been delayed   to date, most recently in  where it was shifted from April 2 to the slightly more nebulous "mid-May".

Developer Slightly Mad Studios recently confirmed that players of its upcoming crowdfunded racing sim will receive a series of  in the months following the game’s release, starting with the absurdly expensive the W Motors Lykan Hypersport made famous by Furious 7.
