Video game speedrunning event Awesome Games Done Quick wrapped up today, January 15, and it was a huge success. According to the event's funding tracker, more than $2.2 million was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, shattering the 2016 event's $1.2 million in funding.
There were some pretty awesome speedruns during the course of the weeklong event, including The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Super Mario Galaxy 2, among so many others. The speedruns were archived and you can watch them here on YouTube.
The Prevent Cancer Foundation was founded in 1985. The non-profit organization is focused on cancer prevention and early detection through research, education, and advocacy.
