With its Christmas event wrapped up, Overwatch will provide players with a good reason to still boot up the game today: a new map.
Oasis, first revealed back at Blizzcon, launches today on all platforms. You can watch a new video of it above that provides a quick run through the map.
Maybe the most notable element of Oasis are its jump pads, which are a first for the game. When Oasis was unveiled, Blizzard talked about how these serve not just as a means for getting around, but also as a way to modify or amplify some Ultimate abilities, such as McCree's. Oasis also features moving traffic that can kill you if you're hit by it.
Oasis, a Control mode map, has been available on the PC version's public test servers since the end of November.
"Oasis is one of the world's most advanced cities, a shining jewel rising from the Arabian Desert," reads Blizzard's official description. "A monument to human ingenuity and invention, researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets that have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world."
