Rumor: Warner Bros. Wants Phil Lord and Chris Miller to Direct The Flash Movie

A new rumor suggests that Warner Bros. wants hotshot directing duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller (of 21/22 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie fame) for the upcoming The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.

Said rumor comes from Latino Review's   (via ), who broke the story on his Twitter account. Meanwhile, Lord and Miller are also reportedly being considered for one of Sony's Ghostbusters movies -- as well as pretty much every other movie in development, come to think of it -- so it's not surprising they might be up for one of WB/DC's heavy hitters.

As for whether the filmmakers would have time to do both Ghostbusters  The Flash, we know that the latter is tentatively slated for 2018, which would give Lord and Miller a good amount of time to direct a Ghostbusters movie first.

Obviously the Flash news is strictly just a rumor for now, but it could be that WB/DC want Lord and Miller for their comedic talents, and that The Flash may be less serious than the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe seems to be.
