Registration process begins for private test of the games streaming service; PS4 and PS Plus required for priority queue.

Sony has opened registration for private beta tests of its PlayStation Now service in the UK.

Those with a and a PlayStation Plus subscription can register their interest to take part through the link . Those who do not have a PS4, or those who are not currently subscribed to PS Plus, can still register their interest and receive further instructions at a later date.

While the private beta is free of charge, Sony UK says it will only be available to certain customers, likely based on what region they are based in. A broadband connection with a minimum 5MB speed is required.

Beta tests for PlayStation Now will commence this spring, Sony added. During this period, there will be a wide selection of games on offer, such as , , , , , , , , and .

PlayStation Now is an experimental service that can stream gameplay content to consoles via remote servers, eliminating the requirement to download and wait for games. In the US, players can either rent individual titles, or subscribe to an all-access library for $20 per month.
