Supergirl Using Same Daily Planet Building as Lois and Clark

Not only is CBS honouring Superman's past by , but the series is now also set to pay homage to Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman by using the its Daily Planet set from 1993.

Producer Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash) out the following photo from the Warner Bros. lot where Supergirl is filming:

Not an ordinary building, it seems. Reporter Andy Behbakht pointed out the similarities to the Daily Planet building from ABC's Lois & Clark series, noting in a :
omg is that the old set from ?! =D

Whether or not the building will be the Supergirl show's Daily Planet is still up in the air. At the very least, it's nice to see that the news organization (and print media) still exist in some form...

Additionally, reports that the DC Comics villain Vartox will appear on Supergirl, and will be played by The Mentalist and Extant's Owain Yeoman. The character is known to comic fans for being an homage to Sean Connery's hairy barbarian character, Zardoz.

Supergirl also stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El (aka Supergirl), Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chlyer Leigh as Supergirl's sister Alex, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw (the comics' Cyborg Superman) and Jeremy Jordan as Winslow Schott (Toyman).
