If you'd rather not head to a Best Buy or GameStop midnight launch tonight in the hopes of securing a PlayStation VR without a preorder, you might be able to nab one online.
The new VR headset for PS4 can't be ordered through Amazon currently, but a note on its store page says preorders will be available tonight at 9 PM PDT, which translates to midnight on the east coast. Only "limited quantities" will be available, so Amazon will limit orders to one per customer.
Last week, Best Buy and GameStop announced plans to open at the same time--9 PM PT, 12 AM ET--to sell a limited supply of PS VRs beyond those already allocated through previous preorders. GameStop elaborated further on its plans today, saying 1,600 stores will stay open late tonight to sell the headset. You'll also have a chance to order one through GameStop.com.
