[UPDATE] In 343's latest Halo weekly blog post, the developer revealed one more stencil, this one themed around the Halo Championship series logo. The stencil was designed by 343 graphic designer Charles Ramos.
The original story is below.
With Halloween right around the corner, you might be thinking about carving a pumpkin. If you want to try your hand at a Halo design, 343 Industries has now released a number of stencils to help you out.
The developer posted 11 stencils on its blog, ranging in difficulty from Easy to Legendary. Some of the designs are for Halo items like the energy sword, Master Chief's helmet, the UNSC logo, and a Guardian. That last one is listed as being of the Legendary difficulty variety--and it certainly looks like it.
Check out all the stencils in the blog post or in the image gallery above. Print them out and then apply to your pumpkin to get started. You can then post your creation on Twitter using the hashtag #HaloLantern for a chance to have it featured in an upcoming post by 343. #HaloLantern is the same hashtag that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used in the past for their own pumpkin-carving promotion.
Last year, someone made a frightfully good Halo pumpkin carving that depicted the Master Chief vs. Locke showdown that was the focus of Halo 5's story.
When gutting your pumpkin, you can save the seeds and easily roast them for a very tasty snack.
