With a month to go before the release of the PlayStation 4 Pro, we still haven't witnessed what it'll be like to __play a lot of games on its improved hardware. Tripwire Interactive has now detailed some of the differences that will be seen in Killing Floor 2 on the Pro and released footage of it running on one.
The video above features a collection of gameplay clips that can be watched at up to 4K and 60 FPS. As with other PS4 games, it's playable on both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro, but playing it on the latter will result in an improved experience whether or not you have a 4K TV. There are three key enhancements that Tripwire described:
- 1800p checkboard rendering on 4K TV (3200x1800) optimized for 4K TVs
- Effectively supersampling and increased FPS on HDTV
- Using additional memory to increase texture resolution to Ultra textures
Tripwire also shared a handful of screenshots from the PS4 Pro version, which you can check out below.
The PS4 Pro launches on November 10 for $400. It's intended to complement existing PS4s rather than replace them. Some existing games will be updated to provide enhancements on the Pro--we've been keeping tracking of those that will and will not here.
