There's a new deal that offers a free game and a $50 gift code when you purchase an Xbox One bundle from the Microsoft Store. The free games you can choose from are Watch Dogs, The Crew, Just Dance: Disney Party 2, and Just Dance 2016. You can see the offer for yourself here.
The deal works with three different bundles. The first is the $250 Xbox One Name Your Game Bundle, which comes with a digital download of Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or Rare Replay. The other two bundles are a 500 GB Xbox One S for $300 that comes with Minecraft and a 1 TB Xbox One S for $350 that includes Gears of War 4 and, for a limited time, the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection.
The $50 gift code can be used towards at a Microsoft Store in person or online. This means you could put it towards another game if you want, though you need to use it by April 20, 2017. Some of the best games of the year so far came out on Xbox One, including Dark Souls III, Doom, and Overwatch. You can check out GameSpot's full list of 2016's best games so far here.
The Xbox One S released in August and features HDR supprt and a 4K Blu-ray drive, in addition to being smaller than the original Xbox One. In GameSpot's review, critic Jimmy Thang said, "The Xbox One S might not be a huge overhaul--you’ll want to wait for Project Scorpio if that’s what you seek--but it’s undoubtedly the sleekest, most feature-rich Xbox yet."
Announced at E3 2016, Project Scorpio releases next year and is said to deliver 4K gaming with six teraflops of performance. Last month, Microsoft Studios publishing general manager Shannon Loftis said that it would __play all of Microsoft's first-party Scorpio games in native 4K.
