As part of PlayStation VR's launch day, Sony released two videos that teach you how to clean various parts of the virtual reality headset. One thing is definitely clear: you should not put any part of it in the dishwasher. You can watch them for yourself below.
The first video informs you how to clean the lens. It's a fairly simple process that requires nothing more than a lint-free microfiber cloth--thankfully, the PS VR comes with one of these. To clean them, you need to gently rub the lenses with the cloth. It's important to not use any water or cleaning solution.
In the second video, you'll learn about how to clean the light shield, the rubber part your face touches to block out light. It's another simple process. There are fasteners all over the headset that keep the shield in place. All you have to do is pull them out one at a time, wash by hand with warm water, and then dry thoroughly. It's worth reminding that you should not put this in a dishwasher.
GameSpot's Jimmy Thang reviewed the PlayStation VR and said, "While there are a handful of fun titles, there's nothing that I've played at launch so far to indicate to me that the PS VR is a must-buy right now." However, he did note that if you "are dying to get" one, you should go for the $500 bundle which includes the PlayStation Camera, two Move controllers, and PlayStation VR Worlds.
