Square Enix's long-awaited RPG Final Fantasy XV will support high dynamic range (HDR) on Xbox One S when the game comes out in November.
Microsoft's Phil Spencer confirmed this in a tweet today. Final Fantasy XV had already been confirmed to support HDR on Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro, as this was announced back in September.

Other games that support HDR on Xbox One S include Microsoft-published titles like Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4. Final Fantasy XV won't be the first third-party game to support the feature, as 2K's NBA 2K17 also does.
The Xbox One S is out now, starting at $300, while Sony's $400 PS4 Pro launches in November. A recent PS4 update added HDR support for all systems going back to launch models.
Spencer was also asked if HDR support could be added to existing games such as Halo 5: Guardians. This probably won't happen, he said.
After its latest delay, Final Fantasy XV is now scheduled to come out on November 29 for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version has been discussed, but fans should not expect at launch, if it ever happens at all.
